I. Resources and Environmental Science
Students will be awarded graduate diploma of Northwest A&F University and Bachelor's degree after they have completed the four-year curriculum and passed the necessary courses. This department focuses on cultivating senior professionals with basic theories and skills in resources and environmental science. Students are required to master the theoretical knowledge of resources and environmental science, analyze and evaluate the quality of resources and environment, understand the basic knowledge of efficient utilization of soil resources, water resources, nutrient resources (especially fertilizer nutrient resources), biological resources, and ecological environment construction and protection, get a good knowledge of the national guidelines, policies and regulations on resources and environment, be able to employ information technology to realize macro-management and decision-making on the development, utilization, protection, degradation prevention and control of agricultural resources and environment. Besides, students are required to combine the elective courses offered, lay a solid foundation for their future career, broaden knowledge and improve comprehensive quality to meet the needs of social development for talents.

II. Soil and Water Conservation and Desertification Control
Students will be awarded with graduate diploma of Northwest A&F University and Bachelor's degree after they have completed the four-year curriculum and passed the necessary courses. Students are required to master basic theories, environmental science and soil and water conservation engineering, grasp planning and design methods, monitoring and evaluation techniques of soil and water conservation and sand control, get a good knowledge of the principles, policies and regulations of forestry, soil and water conservation, desertification control and ecological environment protection in China, understand the theoretical frontier, application prospect and relevant international conventions of soil and water conservation, desertification monitoring and control at home and abroad. Besides, students are required to combine the elective courses offered, lay a solid foundation for their future career, broaden knowledge and improve comprehensive quality, so as to meet the needs of social development for talents.

III. Environmental Science

Students are required to grasp the basic knowledge and skills of environmental monitoring, environmental assessment, environmental planning and management, and pollution control, master the basic methods of data inquiry, literature retrieval and using modern information technology to obtain relevant information, understand the national environmental protection, rational utilization of natural resources, sustainable development and other relevant policies and regulations. Besides, students are required to combine the elective courses offered, lay a solid foundation for their future career, broaden knowledge and improve comprehensive quality to meet the needs of social development for talents.

This department focuses on cultivating senior professionals with basic theories, knowledge and skills of resources, environment and spatial information science. Students are required to grasp the theory, knowledge and experimental skills of remote sensing, cartography and geographic information system, master the basic knowledge and technology of spatial analysis method of geographic information, GIS design method, remote sensing interpretation and map compilation, be able to conduct geographic information system development and application, understand the theoretical frontier, application prospect and development trend of GIS discipline, and the principles, policies and regulations in related fields such as the development of information industry. Besides, students are required to combine the elective courses offered, lay a solid foundation for their future career, broaden knowledge and improve comprehensive quality to meet the needs of social development for talents.

V. Environmental Engineering
Students will be awarded graduate diploma of Northwest A&F University and Bachelor's degree after they have completed the four-year curriculum and passed the necessary courses. This department focuses on cultivating senior professionals with basic theories, basic knowledge and basic skills of environmental engineering. Students are required to master the basic theories and skills of water, gas, solid waste and other pollution control and treatment, environmental pollution remediation and environmental impact assessment, and be capable of engaging in environmental engineering research, design, planning, management, education and promotion in scientific research institutes, universities, enterprises, government and other departments.
